Over the past few decades, Ensemble Theatre has become the artistic cornerstone of Over-the-Rhine's Vine Street corridor renaissance. Growing from only a handful of subscribers during its first few years, Ensemble Theatre now proudly holds a loyal subscriber base of over 2,200 and serves over 30,000 annually through its productions and outreach programs. As the centerpiece of the neighborhood's burgeoning urban cultural district, Ensemble Theatre has earned a reputation as Cincinnati's premiere theatre destination and makes a significant economic impact on a vital downtown life.
Noted for its intimacy and celebrated for its dedication to bringing socially conscious and provocative new works to local audiences, Ensemble Theatre continues to present a portfolio of visually stunning premiere theatre that garners national recognition. An active member of the community, Ensemble Theatre has also created groundbreaking education and outreach programs that target children and other audiences who would otherwise not have access to live theatre. In addition to these initiatives, our apprentice and intern training programs are designed to help recent college graduates transition from academic to professional theatre and allow Ensemble Theatre to make a meaningful contribution to our city's creative class.
